In 2009 Rory Baxter and Esmond Roscoe, old friends with many years combined experience launched Original Kitchen to provide an inspired and original culinary approach to parties, weddings and events. A partnership between a professional chef and the owner and manager of a unique and successful wedding venue Original Kitchen can draw on a wealth of experience whilst still being small and fresh enough to provide a flexible and personal service.
Rory trained as a chef in Ireland and recently returned to Gloucestershire having spent almost a decade working in restaurants across Europe and under a variety of renowned chefs, including Gordon Ramsay, Raymond Blanc, Fergus Henderson and Mark Broadbent. Driven by a passion for food Rory has been dedicated to a modern approach to traditional food and has sought a path to success by training under professionals with similar ideals and passion. Esmond, born and bred at Poundon has been responsible for creating one of Oxordshire’s most unique and successful wedding venues. While the evidence of his skill is clear to see at Poundon, his influence and experience extends well beyond their corner of Oxfordshire and has helped many happy couples see their starting ideas through to successful realisation.
